Brazilian Jazz World Music Duo
A new offering from the singer, guitarist and songwriter Yara Beilinson, which intends to provide a new vision on the popular Brazilian repertoire, a land rich and diverse in its linguistic musical heritage.
Proposing a journey through the folkloristic rhythms, telling stories of the most remote, yet so close, parts of the country, Yara brings us closer to her culture, a culture full of stories of African slavery, their origins, their values, their sorrows and joys of their love, wisdom and hope.
Dealing with a select repertoire of great composers from Brazilian popular music, as well as compostitions of her owns, Yara Beilinson in her duo format, provides a bold and audacious vision, fusing the language of Jazz with the traditional lenguage of Brazilian music. Endorsed by a long and prestigious history adding a touch of virtuosity Yara re-interprets and improvises, with meaning and sincerity, new rhythms and sounds of popular structures and beautiful traditional melodies of Brazil.
